	Glocks don't have an external safety, just this double trigger thing that disengages some internal striker block or something. That's why I think people are nuts when they even consider pocket carrying a glock 26.

	this happens more frequently than people think it does . while in the marines I was station on an aircraft carrier , I was a nuclear weapons guard . when changing shifts from the 12 to 4 and the 4 to 8 you have to exchange pistols with the on comming shift. we had the the M 1911A1 45CAL pistol.I was going into the guard shack to do this procedure to change pistols I was just putting my hat on when two marines were going through this .a shot went off just missing my head by a quater of an inch. with 50ty marines sleeping in a small compartment do you know that nobody woke up . "do you know why " . we were accustomed to loud noises with steel doors slamming all night long and planes landing all night 30ty feet over your head . THIS WAS NORMAL .

	Hammer, I had a friend pick up a 12 ga. pump shotgun, point it at me and pulled the trigger. Luckily the safety was on because when I called him a "dumb shit" he laughed and said, "Hell man it isn't loaded, look" and proceeded to jack 3 deer slugs out of it. I think he my still have a few of the knots I put on his head and that was 30 years past.

	Maybe people who carry guns, law enforcement or otherwise, need to have a regular weapons handling test to certify their continued competency to carry a gun. Gawd I mean how difficult is it to check that a round is not chambered?
